What kind of dictionary should I use?

English as much as possible. The examples on these pages are from the Combridge
Essentiol English Dictionory.
What information can I find in a dictionary?
The most common reason for looking a word up in a dictionary is to find out its
meaning. However, a dictionary can also give you a lot of other information about a
word. The Combridge Essentíql Englísh Dictionory, for example, can give up to six types
of information before the meaning of the word and four further types of information
after it. These examples are all from Unit l.
